A bubbly grapefruit and tequila cocktail with minty effervescence

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila

  • 1/2 oz dry curaçao

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • 3 oz grapefruit soda

  • mint leaves

  • 1/4 tsp demerara sugar

  • Peychaud’s bitters

Garnish

  • mint leaves

  • cherry

  • Peychaud’s bitters

Hardware

  • chilled coup glass

  • muddler

  • cocktail shaker

  • ice

How to make

  • Add mint leaves, demerara sugar, and 2-3 dashes of Peychaud’s to the cocktail shaker and muddle

  • Add the tequila, dry curaçao, and lime juice to the cocktail shaker with ice.

  • Shake 8-10 seconds

  • Double strain cocktail shaker into coupe glass and top with grapefruit soda.

  • Garnish with mint leaves, cherry, and 2-3 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters

  • Serve
