King Ghidorah

A spicy lime and yellow chartreuse margarita with muddled basil.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz reposado tequila

  • .75 oz yellow Chartreuse

  • .5 oz Cointreau

  • 1 oz lime juice

  • .5 oz agave syrup

  • 8-10 basil leaves

  • 1 jalapeno thinly sliced (reserve 3 slices for garnish)

Garnish

  • 3 jalapeno slices

Hardware

  • chilled coup glass

  • muddler

  • cocktail shaker

  • ice

How to make

  • Add the basil leaves and jalapeno slices to a cocktail shaker and muddle

  • Add tequila, Chartreuse, Cointreau, agave, and lime juice to the cocktail shaker with ice.

  • Shake well, 10-12 seconds.

  • Strain into a chilled coup glass.

  • Garnish with 3 jalapeno slices.

  • Serve.
