Falling Down

In "Falling Down," a laid-off defense worker, William "D-Fens" Foster (Michael Douglas), experiences a complete breakdown on a hot summer day in Los Angeles. He abandons his car in traffic and embarks on a violent rampage through the city, fueled by his frustration with everyday life and a desire to see his daughter on her birthday. A police detective, Prendergast (Robert Duvall), is tasked with tracking him down and stopping his escalating violence.
